Cored Jefferson - As the 2012 presidential elections draws closer, the arguments for and against President Obama grow more heated. Last night, an outright shouting match between two of America’s most notable Black leaders—Cornel West and Al Sharpton—gave an indication as to just how important this election will be.
West, a Princeton professor and author, and Sharpton, a controversial civil rights icon, sat on a panel of experts on the Ed Schultz-led special program A Stronger America: The Black Agenda. The talk soon turned to what African-Americans can and should expect from Obama. Sharpton, whose recent National Action Network conference saw an Obama cameo, believes people are being too hard on the president. West vehemently disagreed.
In response to the sharp criticism Obama’s gotten from Blacks who say he’s not done enough for the minority community, Sharpton said, “Too many of us are putting it all on the president. If I see a [Paul] Ryan in Congress, where is the counterpoint to Ryan? That’s not President Obama’s job.… He shouldn’t lead the civil rights marches against himself. Everybody’s sitting around acting like we can’t do anything, Obama’s going to do it. That’s hogwash.”
Interrupting Sharpton, West leapt into the debate: “They [the Obama administration] have a Black constituency and there’s a context in the nation that a criticism of President Obama is an attempt to support the right-wing vicious attacks of Fox News and others,” he said.
West went on to say that the White House ignored the plight of the Black poor, and, in perhaps his most heated turn of phrase, called Obama “another Black mascot of these Wall Street oligarchs.”
Sharpton shot back that people like West like to sit in their “ivory towers” while people like Sharpton are “in the trenches at the labor rallies.” It eventually devolved into an all-out shouting match, with Sharpton being drowned out by West, who shouted, “Where’s the jobs bill?”
Ultimately, not much was accomplished on either side, but it made for exciting television, and it was just a taste of how hot the debates are going to be before voters head to the polls in 2012.

Ed Schultz Uses Cheney's Heart Condition To Pass Health Care Reform
MSNBC Host Ed Schultz Said Tuesday during his that Vice President Dick Cheney was the so-called poster boy for nationalized health care in America. Ed Schultz said, in a sarcastic way that he, wished the former Vice President had a speedy recovery becasue he is now the poster child for health Care in America said Ed Schultz to the Huffington Post's Sekoff. "I mean, five deferments and five heart attacks," Schultz continued. "That's a hell of a life, isn't it, Roy?" (video embedded below the fold with transcript, h/t Story Balloon):
ED SCHULTZ, HOST: Dick Cheney going to be released from a hospital in a day or two after suffering a minor heart attack. I wish the former Vice President a speedy recovery because he is now the poster child for healthcare in this country. Americans would love to have the same healthcare coverage that Dick Cheney has. Joining me now for all of that is Roy Sekoff, founding editor of the Huffington Post. I mean, five deferments and five heart attacks. That's a hell of a life, isn't it, Roy?
ROY SEKOFF, HUFFINGTON POST: You nailed it, Ed. He's now matched the deferments as he has with the heart attacks. But, as you say, you know, the average American, if Dick Cheney was Joe Schmoe, you know, he would have lost his insurance a long time ago. He would have lost his house, he would have lost his job, he would have lost his car, he would have lost his credit cards. You know, because we know that 50% of all bankruptcies are the result of a medical emergency like this. So, you can imagine. Could you imagine if Cheney if he was an average guy trying to get insurance? Can you imagine that call, Ed? "Yeah, I'm 69. I have had five heart attacks. I have had quadruple bypass, two angioplasties, and I've had a defibrillator stuck. Hello? Hello?" You know, not going to happen.
SCHULTZ: Roy, I think that the Democrats should use Dick Cheney as the example as to what the Republicans have been voting against all along. This is the kind of healthcare Americans could have if we went with President Obama's plan. Thanks to Newsbusters.com for transcripts.

MSNBC "Pricless" Mistake With Rev. Jackson And Leno On Fox
The nutcases over at MSNBC a real news organization can't even run a serious news program without making amateur mistake. Contessa Brewer the well know liberal host on MSNBC did not know who was the guest on her own show. If this were Fox News or any Conservative broadcast the liberal media would be calling the host on Fox News racist because they must think that all African-Americans look a like when they are doing a interview. The Rev. Jessie Jackson had to correct Contessa Brewer because, she called him Rev. Al Sharpton and the reaction from Jackson face was "Priceless" because you know that Jackson is jealous of any African-American leader who takes up his so-called spotlight. Contessa Brewer blamed the script in her teleprompter for the mix-up, but I thought that you have production meetings before the show to let you know who is going to be on your program. Finally, Jay Leno is also making fun of President Obama "War On Terror' against Fox News with opening show monologue. I starting to feel a small "Change" in the air that Democrats are starting to believe that Obama is a fraud and was not ready to be President. See video at the bottom of the articles.

Chris Matthews,MSNBC And Left Wing Media Exploit Sen. Kennedy To Pass Obamacare
I awaken this mourning to find out that Sen. Ted Kennedy of Massachusetts had died at the age of 77. I began to watch different cable news channels especially, MSNBC, CNN and you would have thought Jesus, Pope and Mother Teresa had died. The left-wing media has almost made Sen. Kennedy into a modern day Saint who championed the causes of the less fortunate. The most disturbing statement that I heard all day came from Chris Matthews "He wanted to be his brother's, brother. Then Chris Matthews proceeded to make another outrageous statement by saying "Barack Obama..Barack is now the last brother". Chris Matthews is out of control and he, needs to be held accountable for being part of President Obama media public relations team. Chris Matthews and MSNBC, NBC, CNN, CBS, and ABC are schilling for the Obamacare and there is no one in the media calling out this media bias accept Brent Bozell Media Research Center. The clowns over at MSNBC especially, David Shuster as caught by Martin Fikelstein of Newsbusters: makes me sick. David Shuster: Ted Kennedy, unlike so, many politicians of the day, he didn't dabble in small stuff, the petty personal politics: that was not him. And again that is why so many people feel so sad, not only for the loss of him but for the loss perhaps of a political era. Sen. Kennedy was one of the biggest bomb throwers in Washington D.C.. Sen. Kennedy was a partisan who encouraged the hatred towards President Bush while, he was in office for last eight years. Sen. Kennedy did some great things while in office for minorities and disabled, but he was part of the destruction of civility while in United States Senate. These clowns will use Sen. Kennedy death for momentum to push Obamacare through Congress. Finally, it is shameful that the Democrats will use this sad occasion to resurrect a dysfunctional health care plan.

WHITE HOUSE LOVES MSNBC.
It appears that the love towards President Obama does not go under appreciated at the White House because last Wednesday, a member of the Administration actually, declared in public. AT THE WHITE HOUSE AS WE ALWAYS LIKE TO SAY, WE LOVE MSNBC. this occurred at the Atlantic Council Awards Dinner hosted by Joe Scarborough and Mika Berzezinski. Therefore, after they introduced special assistant to President Obama for the Arts and Culture Kareem Dale, he began the video. Thank You. Thank you. Thank You for that great introduction. At the White House as we, always like to say we love MSNBC. Finally, I would love a News channel when a commentator like Chris Mathews says his job is to make President Obama a success. This shows that there is a media "Jihad" to make President Obama a success and they will cover-up all his mistakes. Watch the video below at the at the awards dinner.
