The President will announce a spending freeze $250 billion over 10 years, but there is caveat to this spending freeze. Will the liberal Democratic Congress support this so-called spending freeze in the upcoming budget when they are already planning for Stimulus II. The White House will propose a three year freeze on all domestic agencies in the federal government. This so-called spending freeze is peanuts compared to the $3.6 trillion dollar budget passed last year by the Obama Administration which double the federal deficit. Therefore, most of the government agencies that will be frozen received large increase in the federal budget last year some upwards to 20% so, the cuts will not affect there agencies programs. The CBO is predicting a $1.35 trillion dollar deficit this year under the Obama Administration and a freeze in government spending will not make a dent in the federal deficit. Moreover, you will never make a dent in the federal deficit until you reign the cost of Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security and Defense Department.The President should take his pen and cut each Cabinet Level Department 10%, but the President does not have a line-item veto which is needed to control the deficit. The President should propose a balance budget amendment to the constitution which would get Republican, Conservative and Moderate Democrat support across the country. Finally,I have a simple but, great idea for President Obama resend the unspent $787 billion dollar failed stimulus plan and make a down payment on the federal deficit. This will never happen because, President Obama is making these incident proposals only to satisfy the American people who are dissatisfied with his performance as President. This is little more than a political trick to make the President seem more moderate to independent voters which he, needs to get re-elected President Of The United States.
