Limbaugh: it's Racist to Say American, Chicago, Golf, Birth Certificate"

Paul Joesph Watson - Radio host Rush Limbaugh slammed the “racism” and bigotry” of MSNBC during his show yesterday, pointing out that the network has embarked on a “hysterical” campaign to label any criticism of Obama whatsoever as a racist slur.

The primary target of Limbaugh’s ire was MSNBC host Lawrence O’Donnell, who reacted to Mitch McConnell’s speech in which the Kentucky Senator joked that Obama had spent so much time playing golf he should try for the PGA tour, by claiming the jibe was a racist effort to connect Obama with Tiger Woods and his notorious lifestyle.
“Now these people have lost it. I mean, they’re worse than in the tank. Their minds have been corrupted. They have actually become perverted. It’s as though there’s a poison eating away brain cells. They’re becoming hysterical, nonsensical,” said Limbaugh, adding that Obama’s cheerleaders in the media have abandoned attempting to defend Obama’s record and instead resorted to framing his every political adversary as a racist.
“They’re going to find a link between whatever any speaker says, to racism. They are a political operation. MSNBC is not a news network. They’re not a cable network. They are a political network,” remarked Limbaugh.
Limbaugh’s next example was a recent panel discussion on MSNBC during which the participants, notably Touré Neblett, claimed that using the word “angry” in a negative context when criticizing Obama was also racist.
Limbaugh also made reference to a segment on Hardball where Christ Matthews and his guests attempted to claim that merely using the word “Chicago” to describe the President’s roots was also a racist slur.
“We can’t say “Hussein,” can’t say “birth certificate,” can’t say “Barack,” can’t say “Obama,” can’t say “Chicago,” can’t say “PGA,” can’t say “golf.” It’s all racist,” chided Limbaugh.
“Not even I thought it would get that bad. I mean, I knew that with the election of Obama, every bit of criticism of him would be said to be racist. I never thought it’d get this insane, which is what it is. It really is pathetic,” Limbaugh concluded.
As we have previously highlighted, MSNBC has been the primary culprit in attempting to chill free speech by characterizing legitimate criticism of Obama as a racist thought crime.
Last year, MSNBC regular Richard Wolffe mused that Republican opposition to Obama making a speech on a date that clashed with a presidential debate was down to “the color of his skin”.
MSNBC also ludicrously accused the Associated Press of indulging in racism by accurately transcribing an Obama speech in front of the Congressional Black Caucus.
During his speech, Obama attempted to fool the black audience into thinking he was one of them and not a paid teleprompter reader for Wall Street by dropping the g’s at the end of his words.
“Take off your bedroom slippers. Put on your marching shoes,” Obama lectured the audience. “Shake it off. Stop complainin’. Stop grumblin’. Stop cryin’. We are going to press on. We have work to do.”
However, after the Associated Press accurately transcribed Obama’s dropped g’s, MSNBC aired a debate segmentasking whether the decision not to “clean up” Obama’s words was “racist”.
“On MSNBC, the African-American author Karen Hunter complained the news service transcribed Obama’s speech without cleaning it up as other outlets did–specifically including the “dropped g’s,” reported Yahoo News.
“Hunter called the AP’s version “inherently racist,” sparing with New Republic contributing editor and noted linguistics expert John McWhorter, who argued the g-less version “is actually the correct one,” noting that the president’s victory in the 2008 election was due, in part, to how effortlessly “he can switch into that [black] dialect.”
Back during the Obama Joker poster era, when depictions of the President as the fictional character out of Batman were deemed racist by the establishment media despite identical images being produced of Bush as the Joker for years before, MSNBC host Carlos Watson insinuated that calling Obama a “socialist” was secret code for a racist slur.
Responding to those questioning Obama’s big government agenda by labeling him a socialist, Watson wondered whether the term was “becoming a code word, whether or not socialist is becoming the new n-word for some angry upset birthers and others.”
MSNBC is part-owned (49% to Comcast’s 51%) by one of Obama’s biggest campaign contributors, General Electric, which itself received $16 billion in federal bailout money, a story MSNBC’s hosts were keen to avoid.
MSNBC hosts who do dare to challenge the status quo are quickly dispatched. Young Turks presenter Cenk Uygur was forced to leave the network despite excellent ratings after he was told by company bosses to “tone it down” because “we are the establishment.”
