Gov. Palin Leads In Early Presidential Polls

Ian Lazaran - The Daily Kos pollster finds the following from Wisconsin, Maine, West Virginia, Texas, Minnesota, and Florida:

Maine

Palin 23%
Romney 18%
Huckabee 16%
Newt 14%
Pawlenty 3%

Minnesota

Pawlenty 19%
Palin 18%
Huckabee 14%
Newt 11%
Romney 11%

Wisconsin

Palin 18%
Huckabee 15%
Newt 14%
Romney 12%
Pawlenty 8%

Texas

Palin 22%
Huckabee 20%
Newt 15%
Romney 15%
Pawlenty 3%

West Virginia

Palin 25%
Huckabee 22%
Newt 15%
Romney 15%
Pawlenty 2%

Florida

Romney 28%
Palin 22%
Huckabee 15%
Newt 15%
Pawlenty 4%

These are good results for Governor Palin. Frankly, the sample sizes in Florida and Texas are too small to draw any type of solid conclusion but the sample sizes in the other states are reasonable. She's leading in a diverse set of states. It seems that she's able to hold off Huckabee in his base areas. It also seems as if Tim Pawlenty or someone like him could end up being Governor Palin's best friend.
